Beginning of Summer

T-Minus 15 days and counting until my short summer begins! Can't wait! We have what feels like a lot planned. We have a trip to Tejas in mid-June for a Teltschik family reunion, then Matthew's birthday June 21st with Grandma BB, Connor, and Madison. I think a trip to the New Orleans Zoo is quite possibly in store for us! I think I may try to squeeze in a trip to Lexington with the Boy at some point, too, and then we have another trip to Texas planned for mid-July and then I am back to work on July 18th. SO fast!
Anyway, don't want to keep you family members without a little Matthew fix, so here are some cute pics I took of him lately:

The 10 Month Old Boy

The boy is 10 1/2 months old now! I can't believe how big he is getting and how many new things he is doing now. He has his two bottom and his two top teeth. He's got some serious chompers! He is walking (almost running) everywhere. He really doesn't crawl much at all these days. He picks himself up like like it's no big deal. He is babbling to us, and I think he's saying "mama" and "dada" but I'm not really sure which one he started saying first. He says "Dada" when he sees or is looking for Daddy and says "Mama" when he's upset. Another thing he just started doing like it's no big deal. He loves to blow raspberries, especially if one of us does it back and forth to him. He loves to have a "conversation" in which we repeat sounds back and forth.
Matthew is SUPER silly and likes to laugh and cut up with us. Most things are funny to him, including when we firmly say no and swat his hand for getting into things he knows he isn't supposed to (yes, we are in TROUBLE). At the same time, he is such a little sweetheart and a good boy. We got it SO easy with this one, and I don't even have another to compare!
Another example of silliness is that he loves to come up to us and throw his hands on us like he's "surprising" us and see our reaction. He loves taking baths and love when we sing the "Elmo's World" song to him. He LOVES Elmo and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. More than anything, he loves the theme songs to the shows.
He is sleeping so well these days, but he sure does like to be rocked to sleep.

I can't believe Matt will be 1 year old in about a month. Time is flying by so fast!
The note "Matthew" left on his diaper for Mommy to find after school.

Easter Sunday

On Sunday, we got up early (as usual) fed the babies, and then let the kids hunt for Easter eggs (Matt's first Easter!). After that, we had breakfast and then went to church. We came back to Judy's and had lunch and just relaxed before everyone had to head home =(  The kids really enjoyed the hunt for eggs. Kena definitely made out good--ha ha! (a 13 month old and 10 month old can't really compete) =)
Loaded up on the good stuff.

 So ticklish!
Matthew and Mylee had fun playing with the plastic eggs. Matt enjoyed putting them in his basket and dumping it over. Overall, we had a really great weekend!

New Orleans

On Saturday before Easter we all packed up and headed to New Orleans. We did the French Quarter and walked along the river and walked around the mall and then headed back to Judy's house. It was a little crowded and hard to get out once we were ready, but it was a nice day. There were times I wanted to crawl up in the stroller with the boy b/c my feet hurt, but we had a good time. We had fun glasses Judy bought us to wear, so that was fun. =)
Makena and Matthew in the French Quarter. Cousins in orange stripes! So cute.
 Makena had Matthew giggling.
Miley and Matthew. They enjoyed the ride.

Easter Part 1

We had a FANTASTIC Easter weekend. We were in Hattiesburg, New Orleans, and then Hammond Louisiana.  We started on Friday when Judy, Wade, Stacey, Makena and Mylee came into town and we had a crawfish boil. The weather was pretty nice, so we spent most of our time outside playing and hanging out.  Here are pictures from Friday. There are more pictures to come from Saturday in New Orleans and Sunday in Hammond.
